The Nevada Test Site, a United States Department of push reservation located in southeastern Nevada, about 65 miles northwest of Las Vegas was recently established by Harry Truman on December 18, 1950 for the hearing of nuclear devices. In my case, during the bomb testing, I was given a radiation mark which collected radiation similar to many of those who lived close to the test site. These badges were to be later collected by the Atomic zipper commission, as they would gather information about the radiation emitted from the tests. People, including me, were belt up unaware of what dangers these bombs were capable of.
